A Journey Towards Excellence

Rajpurohit Seva Nyas, a registered charitable trust, is helping and encouraging student community for last so many years. Ten trustees and members of advisory committee are looking after the affairs of the trust. Initially the institution was known as Rajpurohit Samaj. Donations to Nyas (Trust) are exempt under section 80G of the Income Tax Act,1961.

Aims & Objective


To encourage the students to excel in the fields of education and extracurricular activities.

  • To help the students for preparing All India Examinations K.V.P.Y. Medical, Engg., Law, C.A., N.D.A.CAT. Civil Services.
  • To give financial help to meritorious students who are economically weak.
  • To distribute books, note books and other stationery items to the students free of cost or at concessional rates.
  • To publish magazine and books for guiding the students.
  • To provide medical and financial help to needy patients coming to Mumbai.
  • Besides the above mentioned objects, about a dozen ancillary objectives also find place in the trust deed.

History


In the year 1994-95 it was decided that a scheme should be launched at all India level with the basic object of encouraging the deserving students. Accordingly a reward cum scholarship scheme was introduced by Rajpurohit Samaj. Scheme was meant for the students of tenth and above classes only. In the year 1996 twenty one students were selected for merit scholarship. In 1997 a decision to the effect was taken that a reward function should be held in Mumbai to felicitate the budding talents. It was further decided that students of Mumbai Region (Thane,Navi Mumbai and Mumbai districts) from 1st standard onwards should be invited to the reward function. It was also decided that prominent personalities who can be a source of inspiration for the students should also be honoured in such functions.In pursuance of these decisions the first reward function was held at Birla Matri Mandir, Mumbai in Nov.1997.

From then onwards reward functions are being regularly organised to appreciate the achievements of the students. In addition to the annual functions held in Mumbai, district level reward functions were also held at Badmer, Bikaner, Jalore, Jodhpur, Pali and Sirohi. Functions were held. Students of M.P.and Chattisgadh were invited and honoured either at Ratalam or Ujjain with the help of the local committes. Reward function for the year 2007 was held at Brahamdhaam Aasotaraa on 6th Jan. 2008. In this function students form all over the country were invited. In the next two succeeding years functions were held at Jodhpur. Till date more than 6000 students have found place in the merit lists.
